IT Technician

Would you like to be part of a team known for producing the highest quality furniture in North America? Simply Amish, a furniture manufacturer and distributor in Arcola, IL, is looking for a hard-working, dependable individual to join our IT department.

Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware and software; Establish cybersecurity policies/procedures and provide end user cybersecurity training; Configure and maintain database servers and processes; Perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades on servers, desktops/laptops and peripherals; Troubleshoot using diagnostic techniques, isolating problems and implementing solutions; Implement IT initiatives and complete IT projects as assigned.

Requirements: Prefer degree in similar field and/or certifications; Fundamental knowledge of networking principals; Firewalls knowledge; Cybersecurity knowledge; Experience with Virtualized Application Servers, Web Server and MS Access are preferred, but not required – on-site training will be provided; Ability to manage small projects, conduct research, and make recommendations; Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail; Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical process documentation; Ability to multitask; Flexible schedule to include tasks after hours as needed.
